Film Festival
Event Description
The Gateway (IL) Chapter is pleased to host our first film festival for young people in the St. Louis Metro area. The festival will provide opportunities to share their creative work that tell stories about their community, its events and issues for the benefit of their peers, family and the public.
Theme: Let’s Shout it Out! My Voice, My Choice
Entry Requirements:
- Ages 13-25
- Residence: STL City/County, St. Charles City/County, Metro East St. Louis, IL
- Storyline: 100% original and entrant by entrant in 13-25 age group
- Film Length: 3-5 minutes long, excluding credits
- Parental Approval: Entrants under 18
- Production Date: 2024-2025
Rules & Terms
PLAGIARISM DETECTION:
- The use of copy-written material of any kind (music, video, images, logos, drawings, trademarks, or other third-materials) without the express written consent by owner is not allowed without permission and/ or the proper rights to all content submitted.
OFFENSIVE LANUAGE
- The following qualities are prohibited (unless inclusion promotes a positive position or stand):
- Obscene, profane, lewd, defamatory content, data, images
- Gratuitous violence, guns or other imagery or gestures of weapons
- Illegal drug or alcohol use of abuse of product images
FILM CREDITS:
- Attribution to staff involved in production.
SCREENPLAY: a written work-A brief outline of action, dialogue and movement of characters.
FILM CRITICS: Subjective analysis and evaluation of the film.
JUDGES: Assess based on set criteria
How to Submit
Submit a YouTube video link to filmfestgateway@gmail.com. Include in the subject line “first name, last name and film title. Scripts and/or screen play must be attached to the submission email. Entrants under the age of 18, must also email the completed parental approval form.
